
Beavers Cap California Swing with Top Marks

SAN FRANCISCO, SAN DIEGO & BERKLEY, Calif. – Oregon State Track and Field wrapped up a strong weekend in California with more all-time program marks and personal bests.
Jillian Brown led the way at the Stanford Invitational, clocking a career-best 2:07.23 in the 800 meters to move to No. 3 in OSU history. The junior also helped the Beavers' 4x400 meter relay squad to a 3:45.84 finish alongside Addison Swartzendruber, Dede Norman and Jada Hurley – good for the fourth-fastest mark ever at Oregon State.
Ruby Broadbent and Ainsley Herron continued their standout weekends at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, placing third and 12th respectively in the 800. Sydney Partyka ran a 2:12.36, Meagen Lowe clocked 2:15.36, Jamie Hamlin finished in 2:16.77 and Jenna O'Beirne earned a 2:16.77, all earning personal bests
The Beavers also claimed a win in the high jump at the same meet with Grace Proudfoot clearing 1.67m/5-5.75. Riley Patera added a victory in the 100 meters, crossing in 12.43 seconds.
Maddy Juhler matched her Friday runner-up performance in the pole vault by clearing 3.65m/11-11.75 for fourth place on Saturday. Lilia Montiel joined her in the top 10 with a 3.20m/10-6.0 clearance for ninth.
The 4x100 team of Biggerstaff, Montiel, Shedd and Patera ran a 49.61 to take third place. Ruby Lorenz and Ava McKee went 7–9 in the 400, with McKee's 1:00.13 finish marking a new personal best.
FRIDAY RECAP
At the Stanford Invitational, Ainsley Herron clocked a breakthrough 4:22.19 in the 1,500 meters — a personal best and the sixth-fastest time in Oregon State history. She was joined by Ruby Broadbent who finished in 4:23.45 and Maya Baechler who clocked a time of 4:28.28, both recording personal bests in the event. Abby Pradere also ran 4:23.05, while Sydney Partyka posted 4:28.10 and Noemi Lundgren earned 4:31.33 rounded out a deep showing for the Beavers in the event.
Jamie Hamlin delivered one of the top performances of the night, running a personal-best 10:33.99 in the steeplechase — good for sixth all-time at Oregon State. In the 5,000 meters, Erin Cosgrove led OSU with a 16:53.47, followed by Sage Brooks at 17:12.38.
The sprints crew added a top-10 program mark with Addison Swartzendruber clocking a personal best 56.74 in the 400 meters, moving her to seventh all-time in school history. Jada Hurley ran 12.20 in the 100-meter prelims and came back later to post a 24.81 in the 200. In the field, Mia Fowler cleared 3.67m to win the collegiate section of the pole vault, with Maddy Juhler taking second at 3.52m.
The Beavers dominated the javelin on day one of the Triton Invitational. Maryann Ackerman shattered her previous best by more than two meters with a throw of 52.38m/171-10, becoming the top javelin thrower in OSU history. Isabelle Esler threw a distance of 49.83m/163-6 and Sara Sanders for 47.04m/154-4 completed three top-five finishes for Oregon State.
In the discus, Katie Gelston added another major performance with a personal best 53.04m/174-0, moving to third all-time at OSU. Markayla Billings finished sixth in the hammer throw at 50.78m.
At the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Katie Kopec headlined the distance group with a major drop in the 5,000 meters, running 16:38.43 — a 19-second personal best. Eimy Martinez added a 16:59.22 to back her up.
In the 1,500 meters, Meagan Lowe ran 4:28.11, while Kate Yahn 4:38.38, Reese Morkert 4:40.66, and Payton Smith 4:50.47 all recorded personal bests to close out a productive opening day
