Beavers Fall to Weber State at Home
August 17, 2025 | Women's Soccer
CORVALLS, Ore. – Oregon State women's soccer hosted Weber State on Sunday, falling 3-2 at Paul Lorenz Field.
OSU made a statement early in the game, throwing the first punch with a pair of goals. Fresh off a late, game-tying goal against Washington on Thursday, Nathalie Lewis got on the end of a long ball over the top from Adele Schwab to score her second in as many games, with Paola Figueroa finishing at the far post off a Carly Carraher feed to double the Beaver lead in the 24th minute.
Weber State ramped up the pressure early in the second half, however, finding goals in the 47th, 51st and 56th minutes. Though the Beavs finished with 10 second half shots, none found the back of the net to seal a 3-2 result.
Rin Choi recorded a team-high four shots as Paola Figueroa, Carraher and Schwab all had two apiece; Oregon State finished with 15 in the game. Hailey Martinez played 71 minutes in her first collegiate start while Kassidy Michael and Isa Calderon both made their debuts in the orange and black.
Mya Sanchez tied a career high with nine saves.
Beaver women's soccer returns to action on Aug. 28, hosting Idaho State. Kickoff at Paul Lorenz Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased by calling 800-GO-BEAVS (541-737-4455) or visiting beav.es/SoccerTickets.
