3 - Consecutive wins in season openers for the Beavers, defeating Boise State, San Jose State and Idaho State.

• Oregon State holds a 17-13 advantage in Corvallis and has won the last two games at Reser Stadium, in 2020 and 2022.
• The teams have met every season since 1995.
• OSU and Cal have played 29 times since 1996, and Oregon State has rushed for 200 or more yards nine times against the Golden Bears. The Beavers have topped 100 yards in 26 of the 29 matchups, and are 17-12 over that stretch.
• The teams have met 25 times since 2000, and OSU has limited the Golden Bears to under 300 yards seven times, going 7-0. The Golden Bears have been held to under 100 rush yards eight times, with OSU posting an 8-0 record.
• Andy Alfieri is in his second year at OSU after playing in six games over four seasons with the Golden Bears.

In The Booth
• Coaches in the press box this season include offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ryan Gunderson and co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Rod Chance.

On This Date
• Oregon State is playing on August 30 for just the fourth time in the program's history.
• The Beavers are 2-1 on the date, last losing to Oklahoma State, 52-36, to open the 2019 season.
• All three previous games on the date have come in Corvallis.

Saturday
• Fans are encouraged to display their team spirit by wearing black Beavs apparel for the 2025 opener. Individuals attempting to enter the stadium with body paint will be asked to remove it before being permitted entry.

Bray Adds Defensive Coordinator Title
• Oregon State head coach Trent Bray is in his second season leading the program. The former Oregon State linebacker added the defensive coordinator title in the offseason.
• Bray is in his 11th season with the program, and took over as the team's defensive coordinator over the last four games of the 2021 season. He served as DC in both 2022 and 2023.
• Rod Chance, who coaches the secondary, will serve as Co-Defensive Coordinator.

Returning
• Gabarri Johnson is the lone returning quarterback for the Beavers, who threw for 2,417 yards as a team last season. Johnson threw for 174 yards, seven percent of the team's total.
• Eight Beavers who recorded at least one rush a season ago return in 2025. Those eight tallied 1,531 rush yards, accounting for 67.4 percent of the team's 2,270 from a year ago.
• Eight Beavers who caught one pass from last season return. Those eight account for 165 of the team's 216 (76.4 percent) from a year ago. They accounted for 1,750 of the 2,417 yards (72.4 percent) from a year ago.

Start Strong
• Oregon State has gone 13-4 in games played in August and September over the past four seasons. That includes a 3-1 mark last season, defeating Idaho State, San Diego State and Purdue with a loss to Oregon.
• The 2025 Beavers will have a good opportunity to build upon that note, playing nearly half of the team's schedule before the end of September. OSU hosts California, Fresno State and Houston, teams that went a combined 16-22 a year ago. The three were also a combined 5-12 away from home.
• Texas Tech and Oregon, the Beavers' two road opponents in the month, combined to go 21-6 a year ago.

Season Openers
• The Beavers have won three consecutive season-opening games, including two that were played at home.
• OSU defeated Boise State, 34-17, at Reser Stadium in 2022. The Beavers won at San Jose State, 42-17, to open 2023, then picked up Trent Bray's first win as a head coach in a 38-15 victory over Idaho State in Corvallis last season.
• The Beavers are looking to win four consecutive season openers for the first time since 1997-2000.

Welcome Back Hank
• Anthony Hankerson returns for his senior season after an outstanding first campain in Corvallis.
• The running back ran for 1,082 yards, which marked the 19th 1,000-yard season in Oregon State history. That tally put him at 37th nationally while his 232 carries on the year tied him for 17th.
• He also scored 15 rushing touchdowns, tying him for 18th. The 15 rushing scores were the most by a Beaver since Jacquizz Rodgers had 21 in 2009.
• Hankerson is the last Beaver to return to OSU after topping 1,000 yards since Jermar Jefferson in 2019. Jefferson had 1,380 yards in 2018.
• Hankerson is on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Award and the Doak Walker Award.

Looking For 1K
• Trent Walker caught 81 passes for 901 yards and two touchdowns a year ago. He now has 967 yards receiving during his Beaver career.
• Walker needs 33 yards to reach 1,000 yards for his career and become the 37th player in Oregon State history to reach that mark.
• Walker's 81 receptions last year, meanwhile, rank seventh for a single season at Oregon State.
• Walker is on the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award.

Not Since '19
• The Beavers return both their leading rusher (Anthony Hankerson, 1,082 yards) and leading receiver (Trent Walker, 901 yards) from last season.
• It's the first time since 2019 that the Beavers have had both their leading rusher and receiver return in the same season. Jermar Jefferson and Isaiah Hodgins both returned that season.
• How rare is this? It is just the eighth time the team's leaders have returned since 2001, which also included 2016, 2015, 2012, 2010, 2007 and 2003.
