Beavers Draw in Nonconference Finale
September 20, 2025 | Women's Soccer
FRESNO, Calif. – Oregon State women's soccer rounded out its nonconference slate with a 1-1 draw at Fresno State on Saturday.
Alyssa White scored her first goal of the season in the 21st minute, which came some five minutes after OSU conceded the opener to the Bulldogs. After a deflected cross and scramble in the box, White slammed home her left footed shot to the 'keeper's right.
Saturday's goal was the latest in what's been a strong run of games for the Nashville, Tenn., native, who assisted on the game-winning goal at Utah last weekend before scoring the leveler in Fresno. With one shot across 73 minutes played, White is now up to 10 shots across six appearances this fall, all of which have been starts.
Adele Schwab was credited with the assist on White's goal, her second helper of the year, while Nathalie Lewis put three of her four shots on goal; Carly Carraher and Rin Choi also put shots on frame along with Lewis and White to help OSU finish with six in the game.
Mya Sanchez made eight saves in net, marking her third game this season with eight or more saves in an individual contest, and bringing her to 40 on the season. With a save percentage of 88.9 against the Bulldogs, Sanchez now boasts a save percentage of 78.4 in 2025 while allowing just 1.38 goals per game.
Nathalie Mejia (55) and Isa Calderon (14), who both entered the game off the bench, both finished with season-high minute totals.
Saturday's contest was Oregon State's final nonconference matchup of the regular season, and the Beavs will open West Coast Conference play next week with a pair of road games, facing Pepperdine (Sept. 24, 3 p.m.) and LMU (Sept. 28, 1 p.m.) before returning home on Oct. 4.
