AC Froehlich Recognized as Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – AC Froehlich has earned her second Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award, it was announced Tuesday.

The Lafayette, La., native hit .393 on the way to a team-leading 15 kills in Oregon State's straight set victory at Texas State last week, averaging five per set, also contributing nine digs. She took over in the Beavers' commanding 25-18 win during the first set, amassing seven kills.

Entering this weekend's matches, Froehlich has totaled 235 kills across 60 sets, an average of 3.92 that ranks second-best in the Pac-12; both marks lead the team. Her 263 points this season and 4.38 per set, which also lead the team, both rank third.

She has seven different 15-plus kill performances, three of which have come in the last six matches and included a career high 27 in a five-set win against Washington State on Sept. 26.

Named Offensive after the first weekend of action, Froehlich joins Jackie Matias as Beavers with multiple weekly awards this season, and Tuesday's announcement marks the first time since 2017 that two or more Oregon State student-athletes have earned two or more Pac-12 Player of the Week awards in the same season.

Beaver volleyball plays at Fresno State on Thursday before returning home for a 1 p.m. match with Utah State this Saturday. Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling 800-GO-BEAVS (541-737-4455) or visiting Beav.es/VBTix.
