- The 21-0 win in 2024 is Oregon State's last shutout.
- The Beavers have averaged 28.8 points per win in the five-game winning streak over the Aztecs. SDSU is averaging 9.8 in that same time frame.
- Oregon State is coming off a 56-26 win over Colorado State on Saturday. It was the Beavers' largest away from home since a 32-point victory, 49-17, at California in 2013.
- Oregon State recorded 650 yards of total offense in the win, the seventh-highest single-game total in program history.
- Braden Atkinson's 427 yards against the Rams stands as the 10th-best single-game tally in OSU history. He's thrown for 16 touchdowns; the 2025 Beavers threw for just 14 as a team, over 12 games.
- Jesse Legree leads the Pac-12 with 741 receiving yards. He's played in just five games yet is less than 100 yards from surpassing last season's team leader, Trent Walker, who finished with 823.

ON THIS DATE
- Oregon State has played on Oct. 10 14 times previously, going 7-7.
- The Beavers last played on the date in 2015, losing to Arizona, 44-7. The last win on the date came in 2009 against Stanford at Reser Stadium, defeating the Cardinal, 38-28. Sean Canfield passed for 290 yards and a touchdown and Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Rodgers also accounted for five of Canfield's 22 pass completion, finishing with 89 yards.
JAMARCUS SHEPHARD'S FIRST SEASON
- JaMarcus Shephard was named Oregon State's head coach this past November.
- He came to Corvallis after spending two seasons at Alabama, most recently as the Crimson Tide's assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
- He arrived at Oregon State with a reputation as one of the nation's premier developers of wide receivers, having coached a consensus All-American, a first-team All-American, multiple NFL draft picks and a string of nationally ranked passing offenses across stops at Alabama, Washington, Purdue, Washington State and Western Kentucky.
- Shephard coached in the 2023 national title game while with the Huskies. Washington's passing game ranked second nationally at 343.7 yards per game while the Huskies scored 36.0 points per game. The unit featured one of the nation's top wide receiver corps with a pair of 1,000-yard seasons from first team All-American Rome Odunze, who recorded 92 receptions for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Ja'Lynn Polk, who caught 69 passes for 1,159 yards and nine scores.
- The duo went on to be selected in the first and second rounds, respectively, of the 2024 NFL Draft.
BEAVERS WIN NOTES
- The Beavers won back-to-back road games for the first time since 2022 at Arizona State and 2023 at San Jose State. It also marked the first two-game road win streak in the same season since 2019.
- Braden Atkinson completed his first 16 passes, surpassing Matt Booher's OSU record of 15 straight set on Oct. 28, 1989 against California.
- Jesse Legree posted his third career multi-touchdown game – scoring three times – and he moved into the top-10 at OSU with nine scores on the season. He now ranks tied for seventh in a single-season.
- Legree finished with 159 yards receiving, his fifth straight game of 100 or more. That equals Mike Hass (2005) and Brandin Cooks (2013) for the longest streak in OSU history.
- Aaron Butler's 30-yard rushing score in the second quarter was his longest carry of the year. It was also his first career rushing touchdown.
- The Beavers scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the third consecutive game.
- Gabe Milbourn's rushing score in the first quarter was not only his first career touchdown on the ground but also his first career rush.
- Milbourn's rushing score also marked the first by an Oregon State tight end since at least 1996. The last tight end to even carry the ball via a rush was by Bryce Caufield in 2024 against UNLV.
- Eric Olsen caught a pair of touchdowns for his second and third of the season. He now has six career receiving scores.
- Drake Vickers intercepted his first career pass in the third quarter.
- Cornell Hatcher Jr. scored his fourth career rushing touchdown and second of the season.
- Colorado State was unable to score on its first drive, turning the ball over on downs. Opponents have now failed to score on their first drive in four straight games.
- Oregon State's 96-yard scoring drive in the first quarter marked its longest of the season.
- The Beavers' 35 first-half points equaled a season-high previously set against Montana.
TOPPING 50
- The Beavers' 56 points marked the second time this season OSU surpassed 50. It's the first time OSU has scored 50 or more in the same season since 2023.
- The Beavers surpassed 50 three times that season.
JUST THREE
- Per Opta Stats, Jesse Legree is just the third player to have nine-plus receiving touchdowns over their first five career games at the FBS level.
- The other two? Michael Crabtree in 2007 and Randy Moss in 1997.
ATKINSON HAS 16
- Braden Atkinson upped his season tally to 16 touchdowns after throwing for five at Colorado State. That's already two more than the 2025 Beavers threw over the entire season. He is, in fact, the first OSU QB to throw for more than 10 since DJ Uiagalelei tallied 21 in 2023.
RED ZONE
- Oregon State is technically 20-for-21 in red zone opportunities. We say technically since the Beavers kneeled while at the Colorado State 14 to end the 56-26 win against the Rams.
- The Beavers' 95.24 percent success rate ranks 16th. However, take away the technicality and Oregon State is one of 12 teams with a 100-percent success rate.
- Notably, Oregon State has scored 16 touchdowns while in the red zone, a 76.19 percent clip. That puts the Beavers at No. 22 in the nation.
- The Beavers are 7-for-7 in the red zone at home this season.
GOING FOR THE NO. 1 SPOT
- Jesse Legree is looking to become the first Oregon State player to top 100 receiving yards in six straight games. He enters Saturday's game tied with Mike Hass (2005) and Brandin Cooks (2013) for the most at five.
- Legree is also the first Pac-12 player with five straight since Washington's Rome Odunze in 2023. He's the first FBS player to do so since Buffalo's Nik McMillan went six straight in October and November of last season.
- Here's a look at Beavers who tallied 100 or more yards in at least three straight games.
- Jesse Legree, 2026 — 5 straight: 9/5 @ Houston (136), 9/12 vs. Texas Tech (240), 9/19 vs. Montana (100); 9/26 @ UTEP (109); 10/3 at Colorado State (156).
- Brandin Cooks, 2013 — 5 straight: 9/14 @ Utah (210), 9/21 @ San Diego State (141), 9/28 vs. Colorado (168), 10/12 @ Washington State (137), 10/19 @ California (232).
- Mike Hass, 2005 — 5 straight: 9/3 vs. Portland State (155), 9/10 vs. Boise State (178), 9/17 @ Louisville (136), 9/24 @ Arizona State (174), 10/1 vs. Washington State (161).
- Mike Hass, 2004 — 3 straight: 11/6 vs. USC (119), 11/13 @ Stanford (110), 11/20 vs. Oregon (154).
- James Newson, 2003 — 3 straight: 9/13 vs. New Mexico State (135), 9/20 vs. Boise State (208), 9/27 vs. Arizona State (124).
- Reggie Bynum, 1985 — 3 straight: 9/7 vs. Idaho (152), 9/14 vs. California (100), 9/21 vs. Fresno State (154).
MORE ON LEGREE, HASS AND COOKS
- Jesse Legree enters Saturday averaging 148.8 receiving yards per game.
- The only other Beavers, in the last 30 years, to average over 120? Try Mike Hass in 2005, at 139.3, and Brandin Cooks, who averaged 133.1 yards per game in 2013.
- Both Hass and Cooks were Biletnikoff Award winners that season.
