Season Ends in WBIT First Round
March 19, 2026 | Women's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State earned one more game with Beaver Nation in a 23-win season but early offensive struggles prevented the Beavs from knocking off a solid Wisconsin team in a 62-58 WBIT First Round loss.
The Beavers year concludes in the postseason for the 12th time under Scott Rueck and for the first time in the WBIT. OSU also finished its two-year stint in the West Coast Conference and will return to the Pac-12 next year.
Tiara Bolden delivered another strong scoring performance in her final game with Oregon State, scoring 23 points and adding six rebounds, four assists and three steals. The senior nearly willed OSU back into the game all by herself when she turned a 31-22 halftime deficit into a 37-36 lead by scoring 10 points in the first four minutes of the second half.
Wisconsin eventually pulled back away to a 57-47 lead with 6:55 left but Bolden scored seven points in a 9-0 run to pull back within one with 2:51 remaining. The Badgers made a three and a late-clock jumper to pull away with the win as OSU's offense went cold for the following two minutes.
Kennedie Shuler concluded an all-time point guard season with six assists. The junior dished out 184 helpers in total, second-most in a single season in school history. She passed Mercedes Fox-Griffin (180, 2006-07) and coach Sydney Wiese (179, 2014-15) on Thursday to move into second all-time behind Boky Vidic (203, 1994-95).
Néné Sow finished a team-high +12, one of three Beavs with a positive plus-minus, while scoring four points, grabbing four boards and blocking a shot. Jenna Villa scored 11 points and finished the season with the seventh-most points by an Oregon State junior at 523.
