Beavs Lead WCC in All-Academic Selections
March 04, 2026 | Women's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Three Oregon State Beavers earned spots on the WCC All-Academic team, most in the conference, with Kennedie Shuler, Ally Schimel and Cloe Vecina making the team and Tiara Bolden adding honorable mention honors. Â
Â
Eligible athlete must maintain a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) based on the most recently completed term at the time of the nomination, be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed at the nominating institution.
Â
Shuler earned a spot on the team for the second straight year while Bolden, Vecina and Schimel earned a spot for the first year. The trio of first-timers were ineligible for last season's all-academic team due to being in their first year at OSU.
Â
Shuler was one of three Beavers to earn All-WCC honors, picking up a first team selection for the first time in her career. Jenna Villa (1st Team) and Tiara Bolden (2nd Team) also earned all-league honors for the first time.
Â
Oregon State will open the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship on Sunday, March 8 at 11:30 a.m. as the no. 4 seed. As a top-four seed, the Beavers advance to the quarterfinals automatically and will play one of Seattle U (12-seed), Washington State (9-seed), Pacific (8-seed) or Portland
