Hoffman, Nicolson Win Pac-12 Awards

CORVALLIS – Oregon State standouts Tim Hoffman and John Nicolson have earned Pac-12 weekly awards, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Hoffman earned conference Offensive Player of the Week recognition after scoring the game-winning goal against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday. The sophomore has two goals and one assist this season, and made his second start of the year against the Gauchos. Hoffman was a conference All-Freshman honoree last season.

Nicolson was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week. He made eight saves against UC Santa Barabara in the winning effort. Nicolson leads the conference with 29 assists this season.

As a team, Oregon State took down No. 25 UC Santa Barbara 3-1 Sunday evening. It marked OSU's second win over a ranked opponent this season.

The Beavers will make their long awaited return to Lorenz Field on Wednesday for a matchup with Seattle U.
