Softball Drops Two Games At UNLV Classic

LAS VEGAS - The No. 11 Oregon State softball team dropped its first two games at the UNLV Classic on Friday. The Beavers opened the tournament with a 7-6 loss to Utah before falling to UNLV, 1-0, later in the day.
UNLV's Linda Garza scored the winning run on Nicole Miller's RBI single in the sixth inning. Tarrah Beyster threw a four-hitter in the loss for the Beavers (5-3-1), while UNLV's Geney Orris allowed just one OSU hit for the game.
The Beavers continue competition at the UNLV tournament with a 10 a.m. game with No. 23 Central Michigan on Saturday, February 19. OSU also plays No. 13 Nebraska on Saturday.
