BACK-TO-BACK
An Oregon State win over Utah created a four-way share of the regular season title between Oregon State, Cal, UCLA and Utah . The Gym Beavs also won a share of the 2022 Pac-12 Regular Season Championship. This is the fourth season the conference has crowned a regular season champion, beginning the tradition in 2020.
ANYONE KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOING?
If the season ended today, OSU would head to Denver for the NCAA Regional round in a session with LSU and teams to be announced, while host Denver would take on Florida and teams to be announced. With the conference championship still to go, the Beavs could finish the season ranked as high as No. 8 and as low as No. 13, with all four regional sites of Denver, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh and UCLA still on the table for OSU.
LAST TIME AT PACS
Oregon State gymnastics took third at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships, after scoring its sixth 197 of the season. Freshman Jade Carey posted a 39.725 in the all-around to earn the outright Pac-12 all-around title for Oregon State's first since Leslie Mak in 2011, while also taking home Pac-12 Gymnast and Freshman of the Year. Carey also claimed co-champion status on floor with a 9.95 and shared second on beam (9.95), bars (9.925) and vault (9.90) to conclude the historic night. Senior Madi Dagen, who came into the night ranked No. 20 in the all-around, finished a career-best fourth in the championship with a 39.450. Following the meet, Tanya Chaplin was also honored with her sixth conference Coach of the Year nod and first since 2011 during the award ceremony.
LOOKING FOR LUCKY No. 7
Oregon State has won the Pac-12 Championship on six occasions, with the most recent coming back in 2013, where the Beavs played host and scored a 197.850, en route to the title. Until this season, that mark held as the highest score in program history, with the Beavs besting the mark on two occasions in 2023.
