CORVALLIS, Ore. – Another busy weekend is on the horizon for Oregon State Track and Field with four meets across three days in store for the Beavers.

The weekend opens with most of the squad competing in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate meet at Long Beach State on Thursday while the heptathletes get going at the Bryan Clay Invite as well.

The majority of the distance crew will get their work done in-state at the Lewis & Clark Invite on Saturday while most of the sprints, jumps and throws groups will be in SoCal.

LAST TIME OUT
Oregon State battled the wind and cold to pick up nine wins with several encouraging performances by Beaver freshmen in a successful trip north on Friday afternoon.

OSU freshmen raced to three of the victories and provided three legs of the 4x400 meter relay win that closed the day on the track. Beaver frosh also showed plenty of growth with nine personal bests. Ava Gross (400 meters), Jillian Brown (800 meters) and Kylee Nelson (400 Hurdles) picked up the wins among freshmen.

Chelsea Howard was perhaps Oregon State's athlete of the meet, leaping through the wind to a career-best 5.70m/18-08.50. Fellow upperclassman Keely McLaughlin posted a pair of wins and a second place finish in the shot put, hammer and discus.

UP NEXT
The Beavs have a week off before hosting their lone home meet of the season, the Oregon State High Performance Meet, on April 28-29 at the Whyte Track & Field complex.
