Beavers Head North for John Knight Twilight
April 06, 2023 | Women's Track & Field
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Track and Field is headed north on Highway 99 for Friday afternoon's John Knight Twilight meet at Western Oregon.
Â
The Beaver contingent consists primarily of runners and jumpers, though the throws group will see action in the hammer, shot put and discus as well. There is no livestream for the meet, but live results will be available here. Â
Â
LAST TIME OUT
Oregon State set two school-records with top-10 national marks to highlight an outstanding weekend in Texas and the Bay Area last week.
Â
Grace Fetherstonhaugh raced to the nation's top time in the 5,000 meters with a 15:30.55-second finish. The performance smashed her previous school record by nearly 30 seconds. Then, Jade Whitfield also outclassed her own school record the next day with a 58.36m/191-6 discus throw, which ranked sixth in the nation after all of the weekend's results came in.
Â
In addition to the new records, the Beavs got four more performances that ranked in the top-three all-time. Delaney Bahn (#3 Long Jump), Kaylee Mitchell (#2 5,000 Meters), Christina Geisler (#2 10,000 meters) and the 4x400 Relay team (#2) all entered the all-time Beaver podium with strong results.
