Ranked Battle Set for Hillsboro

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jumping back into action for the final four duals of the season, the 16th-ranked Oregon State wrestling team will return to the Beaver State for a neutral, ranked dual against No. 30 Little Rock in Hillsboro, Ore. The dual will take place at Liberty High School, coinciding with the annual Reser's Tournament of Champions on Friday evening.

OSU vs. Little Rock
• Oregon State and Little Rock will meet for the fifth time in the series, with all previous four going to the Beavs.
• Hillsboro, Ore. marks the second neutral site in the series as the 2020-21 season saw them do battle in Stillwater, Okla. as part of the Oklahoma State Quadrangular.
•The Beavers have shut out Little Rock on a pair of meetings (34-0 in 2021-22 and 42-0 in 2019-20, the first time they matched up).
•Last time these sides met, OSU took nine of the 10 bouts and cruised to a 35-3 win last season, which also marked their first dual in Little Rock.
•With Little Rock at No. 30 in the latest Intermat poll, it will be the first ranked matchup in the series.

• Including this dual against 30th-ranked Little Rock, five of Oregon State's eight matchups have featured a ranked opponent.
• All three of the Beavers' setbacks have been to ranked foes, all of which were in the top-seven at the time of the dual.
• Day one of the season included a come-from-behind win over then-25th-ranked North Carolina on the road in Chapel Hill.

• In 10 weeks of the season, four Beavs - Gabe Whisenhunt (133), Brandon Kaylor (125), Trey Munoz (184) and Cleveland Belton (141) - have taken the Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week honors. All were received following ranked wins.
• No other school in the Pac-12 has had more than two student-athletes win the league's weekly honor.
• Following the first weekend of the season, Whisenhunt was selected as the NCAA's Wrestler of the Week to go alongside his Pac-12 nod.
