
Beavers Hit The Road to Face North Dakota State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Competing away from the comforts of Gill Coliseum for the first time this season, the 25th-ranked Oregon State wrestling team will head east, as they'll match up with North Dakota State on Friday in Fargo. The first bout is slated for 5 p.m. PT and can be seen on NDSU's live stream.

Hittin' the Road
• No. 25 Oregon State will visit North Dakota State for the first away dual of the season.
• The Beavers will look to win their second consecutive road opener, following a 24-13 win at then-no. 25 North Carolina last November.
Cross-Country
• The Beavers will compete in every time zone across the contiguous United States this season.
• OSU will travel as far east as Annapolis, Md. in two weeks for the Navy Classic to end the month's competition.
Battles with the Bison
• OSU and NDSU will meet for the ninth time on Friday afternoon. The Beavers hold the series lead by a 5-3 margin but the Bison have taken the last three, including Coach Pendleton's OSU debut to open the 2020-21 season.
• This will be the first time these sides will meet in Fargo.
• Last December, these sides were slated to face off in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex for a neutral meeting until there was a cancelation by the venue.
Dazzling Debut
• Ethan Stiles' first match as a Beaver was a major success.
• The transfer from Nebraska defeated Iowa's Caleb Rathjen by major decision at 12-3 last Saturday night.
Big 12 Battles
• Oregon State will face four members of the Big 12 this season, including three before the calendar year ends.
• NDSU (Nov. 8), Oklahoma State (Nov. 17), Utah Valley (Dec. 20) and Wyoming (Jan. 19) are all on the docket for the Beavers.

• Five appear in the Intermat polls this week: Maximo Renteria (24), Gabe Whisenhunt (32), Ethan Stiles (33), Sean Harman (33) and Trey Munoz (7). Renteria and Munoz are the only Beavs in FloWrestling's rankings, at 12th and fifth, respectively.

• Oregon State and the Pac-12 have come to a broadcast deal with FloWrestling this season.
• Every home dual as well as the Pac-12 Championships will be shown exclusively with FloWrestling.
Looking Ahead
• OSU will return home next week - Nov. 17 - for a dual against Oklahoma State. It will be the Beavers' penultimate dual of the calendar year and last one until they face Utah Valley on December 20th.
