Akey Appointed Interim Head Coach
• Robb Akey was appointed Oregon State's Interim Head Coach prior to the Beavers' game against Lafayette.
• Akey joined the Oregon State staff as Special Assistant To The Head Coach prior to the 2025 season. He joined the program from Central Michigan, where he was defensive coordinator from 2019-2024.
• Akey was the head coach at Idaho from 2007-12, taking the Vandals to the Humanitarian Bowl in 2009.
• Akey is no stranger to the Pac-12 Conference. He was the defensive coordinator at Washington State from 2003-06. Prior to that, he coached the Cougars' defensive line unit from 1999-2002.

Hankerson's Career Day
• Anthony Hankerson's four touchdowns against Lafayette tied the Oregon State single-game record. He became the ninth Beaver to score four rushing touchdowns in a game.
• Hankerson also became the 11th different Beaver to rush for 200 yards. There have now been 18 200-yard efforts in the program's history, and his 204 yards against the Leopards rank 17th.
• Hankerson is one of seven players at the FBS level with four or more rushing scores in a game this season.
• The 204 yards, meanwhile, are the sixth-most by an FBS player this season.

In The Booth
• Coaches in the press box this season include offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ryan Gunderson and co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Rod Chance.
• The two are joined by graduate assistants Trevon Bradford (offense), Adam Klein (offense) and Nick Pickett (defense). They are joined by special teams quality control analyst Daniel Akey.

On This Date
• Oregon State is playing on Nov. 8 for the 17th time in the program's history.
• The Beavers are 5-8-3 on the date, last playing on it in 2019, dropping a 19-7 final to Washington in Corvallis.

Recapping The Washington State Win
• The game marked the Beavers' lowest scoring contest since a 10-7 Oregon State win over Wisconsin to open the 2012 season.
• The win over Wisconsin also marked the last time the Beavers won while scoring 10 points or less. OSU had lost 18 straight when scoring 10 or fewer points.
• Additionally, the Beavers have thrown for 60 or fewer yards nine times since 1996, including the 60 Saturday. OSU is now 5-4 when that happens.
• The win was Oregon State's second in as many seasons at home versus the Cougars. Both games featured Oregon State fourth-quarter comebacks.
• Jaheim Patterson intercepted two passes, the first Beaver to do so since Kitan Oladapo against Stanford in 2023.
• The Beavers recorded a season-high six sacks. It was the most by a Beaver defense since OSU recorded six against Stanford in 2023.
• The 2023 game against the Cardinal also marked the last time Oregon State recorded four or more sacks and two or more interceptions in the same game. The Beavers had six sacks and four INT versus Stanford.
• Shamar Meikle recorded 1.5 sacks for his first career multi-sack effort.
• Kord Shaw recorded eight tackles, a career-high. He came into the game with 18 tackles on the season.
• Jaylen Hill recorded his first career sack in his first career game played.
• Trent Walker tallied four catches, giving him 138 for his career.
• Oregon State allowed a season-low seven first-half points. OSU also held an opponent scoreless in the first quarter for the first time since game five of 2025 against Houston.
• Skyler Thomas made his 23rd career start, 21 of which have come consecutively. Van Wells made his 37th career start, Kobe Singleton started his 36th and Anthony Hankerson started his 23rd.
• Gabarri Johnson and Zack Card both made their first career starts.
• Thirty-nine Beavers have now made at least one start this season.

Going For 1K
• Anthony Hankerson enters the game with 803 rush yards on the season and is on pace for 1,073 over the 12-game regular season.
• Hankerson ranks 15th nationally with 803 yards on the ground this season.
• Should Hankerson reach 1,000 on the season, he would become just the sixth player in program history with two or more 1,000-yard seasons.
• The other five? Try Pete Pifer (1965 and 1966), Ken Simonton (1998, 1999 and 2000), Steven Jackson (2002 and 2003), Yvenson Bernard (2005, 2006 and 2007), and Jacquizz Rodgers (2008, 2009 and 2010).

• Hankerson now has nine career 100-yard efforts, tying him for ninth most in an Oregon State career.
• He has topped 100 yards in three consecutive games - 101 vs. Wake Forest, 204 vs. Lafayette and 134 vs. Washington State - for the first time in his career.

Talk About Defense
• The Oregon State defense has held Lafayette and Washington State to a combined 540 yards over the last two games.
• The Leopards and Cougars have scored 20 points over that stretch, the best two-game mark by the OSU defense since the start of the 2024 season when the Beavers held Idaho State and San Diego State to 15 points.
• The defense has given up just seven points over the last six quarters.
• The Beavers have held Lafayette and Washington State to six plays of 20 or more yards the last two games. They gave up 49 over the first seven.
• Lafayette and Washington State were both held to under 100 yards in the second half, and combined for 161.

To The QB
• Oregon State's six sacks Saturday were the most since the six versus Stanford in 2023. The six almost equaled the team's output of eight over the first eight games.
• The six, in fact, were just one shy of the team's overall total from a year ago.
