STARTING FIVE
CLEAN DEFENSE
Oregon State plays clean, fundamentally sound defense under Scott Rueck. In 2024-25, OSU fouls 13.3 times per game, a full foul less than second place Pepperdine in the WCC. The Beavers rank third in the nation in fewest fouls per game over the last ten seasons, and the lack of fouls means fewer opportunities for opponents at the charity stripe, where OSU also ranks among the best over the last 10 years.
Â
FLOOR GENERAL
Kennedie Shuler had a steep learning curve to open the 2024-25 season, taking on the starting point guard role after playing just 9.8 minutes per game as a freshman. There were some early bumps in the road, but Shuler has come into her own over the last month and a half, averaging 9.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and a 2.68 A/TO ratio since January 18th vs. Portland (last 14 games).

STARTING FIVE
- A new hero for Oregon State emerges each game of the WCC Tournament with the latest being Kennedie Shuler, who hit her third game-winning shot to beat Gonzaga
- Shuler made two baskets in Monday's game - primarily contributing excellent defense on Gonzaga point guard Allie Turner - but both gave OSU late leads
- Catarina Ferreira led the team in scoring with 19 points for the second straight game, grabbing nine rebounds to bring her total to 38pts/15reb in the tournament
- AJ Marotte refused to lose, scoring 13 of her 15 points in the second half
- The Beavs and Pilots each won on the other's home court in the two previous matchups - OSU's first two WCC Tournament games were also rubber matches
