Last Game
Gavin Turley flew out to center just a few feet short of a home run as No. 9 Oregon State's late rally came up just short in an 8-7 loss to Auburn Saturday night at Globe Life Field. Oregon State, down 8-3 after seven, scored four over the final two frames. Turley hit a two-run home run in the eighth. The Beavers, down three entering the ninth, rallied for two runs. The first came on a passed ball, then it became a one-run game when Aiva Arquette singled to center. Auburn, however, escaped the jam with a strikeout for out No. 2. Reliever Jett Johnston then battled Turley to a 2-2 count before the Oregon State (6-3) slugger hit one 400 feet to nearly straightaway center, ending the game at the warning track.
