CORVALLIS, Ore. – After starting their season with four event wins at the Oregon Preview, the Oregon State Track and Field team will head south to compete in three meets in Northern California this weekend.

Friday will start at 9:00 a.m. with the 5,000 meters at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and pole vault at 11:00 a.m at the Stanford Invitational. On Saturday, pole vault will kick off day two of the Mike Fanelli Track Classic at 11:00 a.m. and the Stanford Invitational will resume with the 800 meter at 1:10 p.m.

The throws crew will be competing in the Triton Invitational at UCSD on Friday as well, starting with javelin and hammer throw at 9:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Oregon State Track and Field opened its outdoor season with a strong performance at the Oregon Preview, earning multiple event wins and personal bests. In the field events, Isabelle Esler led a dominant javelin showing with a winning throw of 47.70m/156-06, followed by Maryann Ackerman in second and Sara Sanders in fourth.

Jayla Hooper claimed the discus title with a throw of 45.67m/149-10, while Markayla Billings secured third in the hammer throw at 52.05m/170-9. Grace Proudfoot won the high jump at 1.65m/5-05, with Dede Norman tying for third at the same height.
On the track, Maya Baechler headlined the 1500 meters with a victory in 4:24.36, the sixth-fastest time in OSU history, leading a sweep of the top three spots. Jada Hurley impressed in the sprints, finishing second in both the 100m (12.02) and 200m (24.46), with Delaney Bahn securing sixth in both events. Riley Patera placed ninth in the 100m, while Addison Swartzendruber took fifth in the 400m with a time of 57.74.
