Beavers Ready for Regular Season Finale on Home Water
May 01, 2025 | Women's Rowing
LOWELL, Ore. – Oregon State women's rowing returns home this weekend, hosting Southern California, San Diego and Sacramento State at Dexter Reservoir on Saturday.
Racing begins at 9 a.m. with the 3V8+ and novice race and will be followed by the 2V4 (9:20), 1V4 (9:40), 2V8 (10:00), 1V8 (10:20) and 3V4/4V4 (10:40).
Oregon State was last in action at the Big Ten Invite in Sarasota, Fla., on April 18 and 19. In races with six teams apiece, the varsity eight had one victory and added two third place finishes, while the 2V8 finished second and third and the 2V4 had a second place finish.
With the 1V8's win coming in a race that featured then-ranked No. 24 Southern California, the Beavs' top boat has now defeated a ranked opponent in each of the last three competitions. Dating to the fall head races, at least one boat has claimed victory in every single regatta this year.
After another strong showing in Florida, the 1V8+ was named West Coast Conference Crew of the Week for the third time this spring.
The Beavs return to action at the WCC Championship next week, traveling to Gold River, Calif., for two-day regatta on May 16 and 17.
