Canon Reeder launched a two-run home run in the second inning to send Oregon State to a 2-1 win over Long Beach State Thursday night in Corvallis. Eric Segura didn't allow a hit until the sixth inning and earned his eighth win of the season after scattering a hit and a run with six strikeouts. Wyatt Queen struck out three over two scoreless innings for the save.

• Dax Whitney is slated to make his 14th start of the season but just the fourth at home. He is 1-0 with a 0.57 ERA in 15 2/3 innings at Goss Stadium, striking out 22 to just eight hits and seven walks.
