
Garcia Named Academic All-District

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ellie Garcia has been named to the Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
To be designated an Academic All-District nominee, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.5, must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or thrown 35 innings.
This is the second academic laurel for Garcia of the offseason, following being named to the WCC's All-Academic Team. Garcia graduated with a bachelor's degree in English. On the field, she was selected to the WCC's second team.
Following the conclusion of her career with the Beavers, Ellie Garcia joined the professional ranks with Cangrejeras de Santurce in Puerto Rico.
In 2025, Garcia was among the conference's leaders in the circle, which saw the Californian record 94 punchouts as well as nine games with at least five punchouts. Garcia helped secure the series win at Pacific with a career-best 10 strikeouts in the last road series of the season.
