CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State softball team has added another international student-athlete – Genevieve Beacom – to the team ahead of the 2026 season.

Made headlines back in 2022 for being the Australia Baseball League's (ABL) first woman to play baseball, Beacom will join the Beavers' softball team. The Melbourne product will arrive in Corvallis following the 2025 season at East Central (Mo.) College where she led the Falcons to a 30-17 record and was tabbed a First Team All-League selection in the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference.
Last season, she was a force at the plate where she slashed .463/.547/.799 with 69 hits – 31 for extra bases – 18 doubles, seven triples, six home runs and drove in 51 runs. Beacom tallied 18 extra base hits in 22 games played last March on the way to a month's batting average of .522.
