ON FRAME:
Oregon State exceled at putting opportunities on frame in its last road trip to Nebraska and South Dakota State, finishing with 12 shots on goal across 19 total shots, good for 63.2%. When scaling out for the entire season, OSU has put 38.8% of its shots on target, 26 in total. Natalie Lewis (nine) and Adele Schwab (four) lead the team in that category while Lewis (twice), Schwab (once) and Emily Ibsen (once) finished with two or more shots on target across both of last weekend's games; Lewis' nine shots on goal account for 64.3% of her total shots in 2025.
A BIG ROLE:
Schwab, who joined the program after playing two seasons at Campbell, has played a big role in the Beaver attack this season. Entering Sunday's game at Utah, the Troutman, N.C., native ranks second on the team among outfield players for minutes played, spending 474 minutes on the pitch, averaging 79 minutes per appearance. Credited with an assist against Weber State on Aug. 17, Schwab has started each of her six appearances this season.
STRONG WEEKEND:
Mya Sanchez was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in 2024 after making 92 saves across 18 appearances and has carried that momentum into her senior season. Through six games (six starts), Sanchez has played every single minute and made 29 saves, holding a save percentage of 76.3. She made several game-altering saves in OSU's season-opening draw on the road against Washington before tying a career-high with nine against Weber State, also adding an eight save performance during the Beavs' 1-1 draw at South Dakota State last Sunday.
CLEANING IT UP:
Through six games in 2025, Oregon State as a team has combined for 66 fouls, while being fouled by opponents 48 times. However, during the latest Midwest Road trip, the team drew more fouls than it committed in both games, finishing with just five in Lincoln (compared to nine by the Cornhuskers) and seven in Brookings, one fewer than the Jackrabbits.
FIRST OF MANY:
At South Dakota State, London Tsuma got on the scoresheet for the first time in her young career, taking the corner kick that led to Emily Ibsen's goal, marking Tsuma's first points at the collegiate level. Through six games, she's one of 12 Beaver student-athletes to appear in every single contest, and though she has come off the bench in every game, among athletes who have made two or fewer starts, Tsuma has played the most minutes with 264.
LET IT RIP:
After not appearing in the first two games of the season, Alyssa White has started each of the last four, playing 266 minutes. Despite having two fewer games, White enters Sunday's game against Utah in a tie for second place on the team with eight total shots, two of which were on target, and is one of six Beavs with five or more attempts to score this season.
LEADERS:
Mia Erba, Kassidy Michael and Megin Turi were named team captains prior to the season, and all three have played significant roles through six games. Erba played every single one of the team's 540 minutes this season deep in the OSU midfield and is the only outfield player to play every single minute. Michael has started five matches on the backline, averaging 87.8 minutes per appearance, while Turi is up to six starts in six games across multiple positions, and was mere inches away from putting the Beavs up against Idaho State if not for the woodwork and now has three shots in 2025.
BEAVS IN THE PROS:
With Katie Godden (Charlton Athletic / England) and McKenna Martinez (Valadares Gaia / Portugal) each signing professional contracts after the conclusion of last season, Oregon State has officially sent six players into the professional ranks across the last four seasons. Led off by Laura Galceran and Bridgette Skiba in 2021, Reese Moffatt signed a deal in 2022 before Hailey Coll in 2023 and both Godden and Martinez in 2024.
In total, there are currently 10 former Beavers active in the professional ranks, playing in countries such as Portugal, Norway, Spain, England, Mexico and the United States; this list is highlighted by Bella Bixby (née Geist), who currently plays for the Portland Thorns of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), but also includes Kate Evans (West Brom), Emma Jones (Portsmouth) and Greta Espinoza (Tigres).
BACK THE PAC:
Oregon State will play its final season in the West Coast Conference this fall before returning to Pac-12 play in 2026. All eight of the conference's other members, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State and Washington State, sponsor women's soccer, each bringing a high level of talent to the conference. Utah State is the reigning Mountain West Tournament Champion, also winning the conference tournament in 2023, while Boise State was crowned regular season champion in 2024 after San Diego State was crowned regular season champions the year prior. Texas State is coming off a 12-win season that ended with a 3-2 loss in the Sun Belt Championship while Gonzaga was picked to finish third in the WCC.
