The Beavers won both matchups in Corvallis, 41-38 in 2024 and 10-7 in 2025. The Cougars won, 32-8, to close out the 2025 season in Pullman.
- Oregon State has won three straight at home in the series, winning the last two by exactly three points apiece.

- Oregon State has topped 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1921. OSU has three 50-point games this season, matching the total from 2023.
- Braden Atkinson finished with 409 yards passing against San Diego State, surpassing 300 for the sixth consecutive game. He's one shy of equaling Sean Mannion's school-record seven straight during the 2013 season.

- The Beavers last played on the date in 2015, losing to Washington State, 52-31 in Pullman. Oregon State's last win on the date came in 1964, a 10-7 victory over Idaho in Corvallis. OSU has lost six straight on Oct. 17.
JAMARCUS SHEPHARD'S FIRST SEASON
- JaMarcus Shephard was named Oregon State's head coach this past November.
- He came to Corvallis after spending two seasons at Alabama, most recently as the Crimson Tide's assistant head coach, co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
- He arrived at Oregon State with a reputation as one of the nation's premier developers of wide receivers, having coached a consensus All-American, a first-team All-American, multiple NFL draft picks and a string of nationally ranked passing offenses across stops at Alabama, Washington, Purdue, Washington State and Western Kentucky.
- Shephard coached in the 2023 national title game while with the Huskies. Washington's passing game ranked second nationally at 343.7 yards per game while the Huskies scored 36.0 points per game. The unit featured one of the nation's top wide receiver corps with a pair of 1,000-yard seasons from first team All-American Rome Odunze, who recorded 92 receptions for 1,640 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Ja'Lynn Polk, who caught 69 passes for 1,159 yards and nine scores.
- The duo went on to be selected in the first and second rounds, respectively, of the 2024 NFL Draft.
THAT'S 66 AGAINST SDSU!
- Oregon State's 66 points were its most in a game since scoring 68 against Montana State in 2022 and rank tied for 12th in program history. The school record is 77 against Nicholls State in 2012.
- The 52-point margin of victory was Oregon State's largest since a 77-3 win over Nicholls State in 2012. It ranks 20th in program history and fourth since 1960.
- Oregon State topped 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time since 1921. It's the Beavers' third 50-point game this season, matching the total from 2023.
LAST TWO
- Oregon State tallied 650 yards against Colorado State in a 56-26 win in Fort Collins on Oct. 3.
- How would the Beavers top that? By 1 yard exactly, totaling 651 in the 66-14 win versus San Diego State.
- The 1,301 yards over the two games is the best such stretch since at least 1996 for the Beavers.
BEAVERS WIN NOTES
- The Beavers scored touchdowns on each of their first five possessions.
- Oregon State threw for 462 yards, the sixth-most in a single game in program history and the most since 2013. The school record is 508 at Washington in 1998. It's also the second-most in a home game, behind only 476 against Akron in 1987.
- Maalik Murphy joined Braden Atkinson as Oregon State quarterbacks with touchdown receptions this season. The Beavers are the first FBS program to claim that distinction since Navy in 2018.
- Murphy also completed all eight of his passes, including a 7-yard touchdown to Eddie Freauff in the fourth quarter.
- Cornell Hatcher Jr. scored his fifth career rushing touchdown and third of the season.
- Jake Reichle's 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the third rushing score of his career.
- Kourdey Glass ran for a career-high 51 yards on 10 carries.
- Caleb Ojeda's 53-yard field goal as time expired in the first half tied his career long.
- Jabari Odoemenem intercepted a pass in the third quarter, the third of his career.
- Lolani Finau recorded the first tackle for loss of his career.
- The Beavers scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the fourth consecutive game.
- San Diego State was unable to score on its first drive. Opponents have now failed to score on their first drive in five straight games.
- San Diego State completed just nine passes, the fewest by an Oregon State opponent this season. Colorado State's 17 had been the low.
- San Diego State managed six first downs, the fewest by an Oregon State opponent since at least 1996. The previous low was seven, most recently by San Diego State in 2024.
- Oregon State held San Diego State to 147 total yards, the fewest by an opponent since Washington State had 132 in 2008.
- Oregon State's 35 first downs tied for the second-most in a game since 1996, behind 42 against Nicholls State in 2012.
- Oregon State outgained San Diego State by 504 yards (651-147), the second-largest total-yardage margin since 1996. The high is 530 against Stanford in 2003 (663-133).
SO THAT'S A RECORD
- Oregon State held the ball for 42:18 in the win over San Diego State, setting a program record.
- The Beavers' previous record of 41:07 also came against the Aztecs, in 2024 in San Diego.
JUST FOUR
- Per Opta Stats, Braden Atkinson is just the fourth quarterback at the FBS level this century to pass for 400-plus yards (409), five or more touchdowns and zero interceptions when he did so against San Diego State.
- The other three? UCF's Dillon Gabriel in 2020, LSU's Joe Burrow in 2019 and California's Jared Goff in 2015.
THREE-AND-OUT
- The Oregon State offense has gone 12 consecutive quarters without going 3-and-out. The last came in the fourth quarter in the win over Montana.
- The Beavers have been forced into seven 3-and-outs this season, with four against Texas Tech. The Oregon State defense has forced 17 3-and-outs, with 10 coming over the last three games.
LEGREE TAKES THE RECORD
- Jesse Legree finished with 191 yards receiving against San Diego State, his sixth straight game of 100 or more. That breaks the Oregon State record of five he shared with Mike Hass (2005) and Brandin Cooks (2013).
- Legree is the first FBS player with six straight 100-yard receiving games since Buffalo's Nik McMillan did so last season.
- Legree caught three touchdown passes for the second straight game, giving him 12 on the season. That ties James Newson (2002) for third on Oregon State's single-season list.
- Legree set a career high with 10 receptions. He's the first Beaver with 10 or more catches in a game since Trent Walker had 13 at App State last season.
- Legree's 71-yard touchdown in the third quarter was his third reception of 70 or more yards this season.
- Legree passed Trent Walker's 2025 team-leading total of 823 receiving yards, doing so in just his sixth career game. He has 932 yards on the season. That leads the nation.
- Here's a look at Beavers who tallied 100 or more yards in at least three straight games.
