LOGAN, Utah – Oregon State volleyball fell to Utah State in straight sets on Friday.

AC Froehlich led the attack with 11 kills, adding three digs and two aces. Taray Tela hit .643 on her way to 10 kills and two blocks, while Taylor Treahy had eight kills and four blocks on .304 hitting. Cheyenne Green had five kills and three digs with Alana Marrs contributing four kills and six blocks.

Jackie Matias totaled 31 assists and 12 digs in the match, her eighth double-double of the season, and the trio of Isabel Bertelsen, Kama Goldstein and Yasemin Narlioglu each had nine digs.

Utah State was rolling off the first serve, but the Beavers quickly battled back with four unanswered to level the set at 10 on a block by Treahy and Tela. The Aggies responded to build another lead, but OSU once again leveled at 14 on a Green block and later brought it within one at 19-20 on Froehlich's fifth kill of the set, but the Aggies went on to take it 25-21.

OSU was rolling early in the second, quickly building a 7-2 lead on back-to-back Froehlich aces. USU brought things back within one, but a Green kill capped off another 3-0 run for the Beavers to extend the lead to 16-12. The Aggies once again fought back in the set and tied things at 22-22, but the Beavers were sitting on set point at 24-23 after another Froehlich kill; Utah State responded and won it in extra points at 30-28.

Both teams battled early in the third, but the hosts went on a 3-0 run to build out a 9-5 lead. The Beavers countered with five points in six rallies – a stretch capped off by a Marrs and Treahy block – and both teams continued to trade points until Utah State posted a pair of 3-0 runs split by Green's fifth kill of the match to take a five-point advantage, helping fuel a 25-19 victory to take the match.

With Friday's result, OSU moves to 13-10 this season and 8-4 in Pac-12 play with just four contests remaining. On the road for the next two, Beaver volleyball returns home for its final two regular-season home matches against San Diego State (Nov. 17, 6 p.m.) and Boise State (Nov. 19, 6 p.m.).
