Campbell Homers in Loss to No. 18 Ducks
March 04, 2026 | Softball
Corvallis, Ore. – Lici Campbell's third inning three-run home run wasn't enough as Oregon State softball (9-13) fell to No. 18 Oregon at Kelly Field on Wednesday.
Campbell, who had a pair of multi-hit games in the team's last tournament, finished 2-4 with three home runs and a run scored. Morgan Howey hit 3-4 and Jaeya Butler also had a multi-hit performance, finishing 2-3, and the duo of Jada Lewis and Mya Harrison both finished with a hit and a walk.
Oregon broke the game open with a combined six runs in the first two innings before Campbell's shot to deep left field on a 1-2 count scored both Lewis and Butler, cutting the deficit in half midway through the game. After another scoreless inning, Oregon added insurance runs in the fifth and seventh to take the 11-3 result.
Bailey Murray started and faced 11 batters across two innings pitched before Hadyn Milley and Amelia Streuber finished the game off, each pitching at least two innings.
Beaver softball is back in action at the Jane Sanders Classic this weekend, facing Nevada, Oregon and Sacramento State across a five-game weekend.
OSU returns home next Wednesday, hosting the Penn State Nittany Lions at Kelly Field. Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling the Beaver Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS or visiting https://beav.es/SoftballTickets.
