Butler Named Conference Player of the Week
April 13, 2026 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jaeya Butler has been tabbed West Coast Conference Player of the Week award, it was announced on Monday.
A junior from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Butler had a tremendous set of performances against Pacific, hitting 5-9 (.556) with two home runs, five RBI and three stolen bases while slugging 1.222 and finishing with an on-base percentage of .636, helping the Beavers win last weekend's three-game series.
She broke a program record in the process, hitting a sixth inning grand slam in game one to make it 18 home runs on the season, which bested Frankie Hammoude's single season mark set in 2021. Adding another home run in game two, Butler is now at 19 long balls this season with 12 games still to be played.
Butler is also one RBI away from tying the program's single season record of 50 and her 13 doubles in 2026 is four away from tying another single season record.
Entering Tuesday's doubleheader at Portland State, Oregon State's second baseman leads the conference in home runs, RBI, runs scored (38) and slugging percentage (.878) while ranking third both for hits (57) and doubles.
Named West Coast Conference Player of the Week Feb. 22 and March 2, Monday's announcement makes it three this season for Butler and four for Oregon State as a team after Bailey Murray was also named Pitcher of the Week in February.
Butler and the Beavs play a doubleheader at Portland State Tuesday before a weekend series at Saint Mary's.
