2014 (Redshirt Sophomore)
• Appeared in 33 sets, starting one match.
• Had a season high 30 assists in three set victory over Lafayette College Sept. 6.
• Also had season high five digs against Lafayette.
• Had 24 assists in win over Idaho State Aug. 30 after entering the match in the middle of the first set.
• Had season high three blocks agianst Fresno State Sept. 19.
Florida
• Spent two seasons with the Gators.
• Played in two matches and two sets in 2013, earning one kill.
• In 2012, as a freshman, played in six matches and 10 sets.
• Earned seven kills, 52 assists, four digs and four blocks as a freshman.
• Had a season-best four kills against Jacksonville (Sept. 8, 2012).
Murrieta Valley High School
• Lettered four years for head coach Susan Lilly.
• Earned all-league honors all four seasons and was team captain three years.
• Athlete of the Year in the Citrus Valley.
• Earned all-valley three times and All-CIF three times.
• Guided team to league championship in 2008.
• Also lettered two years in the high jump for track and field head coach Matt Farmer.
• CIF participant in the high jump.
Personal
• Daughter of Greta and Andrew Backlund.
• Has four brothers, Erik, Andrew, Stanley and Donald, and three sisters, Carly, Ingrabritt and Annika.
• Majoring in exercise and sports science.
• Enjoys beach volleyball, crafting and working out in her spare time. • Member of National Honor Society, Student Senate, Associated Student Body and was Commissioner of Athletics in high school.
• Chose Oregon State because of “amazing teammates, experienced coaches, the beautiful school and the weather.”
