Bio
Junior (2025):
• Played and started in all 47 games, primarily in left field
• Led Oregon State in hits (49), at bats (151), games played (47) and sacrifice bunts (4)
• Slashed .325/.477/.364
• Had three hits - including two doubles - in the neutral site win (4-2) over LMU (May 5)
• Hit two home runs - a career-best - in the sweep-sealing win against Pacific (May 4)
• Completed season with hits in nine of the last 10 games
• Hit first career triple in the 4-1 opening day win at Cal Poly (Feb. 7)
• Named to D1Softball's All-Tournament Team after the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic behind 10 hits (two doubles, home run) and 6 RBI (Feb. 20-23)
• Just one error on 115 chances in the field for a .991 fielding percentage
Sophomore (2024):
• Played in 22 games, starting in 11
• Had nine hits, including a two-hit game in the away win over Fresno State (Feb. 17)
• Recorded a double and stole a base in the finale of the Fresno State Tournament against Utah Valley (Feb. 18)
• Perfect fielding percentage on 26 attempts
Freshman (2023):
• Played and started in 43 games
• Connected for 27 hits, including a pair of home runs and eight runs batted in
• Hit first collegiate homer - a solo shot - in the 5-4 win at Grand Canyon (Feb. 19)
• Combined for five hits across two games against BYU (Feb. 17 and March 2), including three hits in the second meeting
• Totaled four hits in the first two games at Arizona (April 28-29)
• Committed just one error in the field against 52 putouts and four assists for a .982 fielding percentage
Arcadia High School:
• Prepped at Arcadia High School where she was a four-year member of the honor roll
• First Team All-League and All-Area selection
• Top hitter at the 2021 Alliance 16U Tier 1 National Championships
Personal:
• Daughter of Hong and Donald Howey
• Has two sisters, Brianne and Cailan
• Has one brother, Preston
• Sister, Cailan, played lacrosse at UCSB
• Brother, Preston, played baseball at Saint Mary's (Calif.)
• Intends to major in biology
• Chose OSU because: "The academic opportunities and being able to compete at the highest level. I also love the campus and enjoy how everyone is so welcoming."
• Enjoys baking, hiking, reading and spending time with friends away from softball
