Game Notes
• Weather at game time was 52 degrees and cloudy. Wind was 3 mph from the East, Northeast.
• The game aired on Pac-12 Networks. Ted Robinson had the play-by-play while Glenn Parker was the analyst. Ryan Nece was the sideline reporter.
• Oregon State won the toss and elected to defer. The Beavers kicked off from the north end zone.
• Oregon State captains Jordan Poyer, Jordan Jenkins, Andrew Seumalo and Markus Wheaton were joined for the coin toss by 1962 Heisman Trophy winner Terry Baker.
• Victor Butler and Bill Swancutt were the game ball presenters. Butler's 12.0 sacks in 2008 are tied for first in OSU history. Swancutt had 11.5 sacks each year from 2002-04. That total is tied for third in program history.
• Oregon State wore orange and white while Oregon was in yellow helmets, white tops and yellow pants.
• Attendance for the game was a school-record 47,249.
• The game was the 116th matchup all-time between the teams. It was the fourth time in the history of the Civil War that both teams were ranked – all four have come since 2000.
Oregon State Team Notes
• Oregon's failed two-point conversion attempt in the first quarter was the second the Beavers have faced this season. Stanford's attempt in the fourth quarter on Nov. 10 was also unsuccessful.
• Markus Wheaton and Brandin Cooks became the first Beaver duo to each hit 1,000 yards receiving in a season since James Newson (1,306) and Mike Hass (1,013) in 2003.
Oregon State Individual Notes
• Scott Crichton's first quarter tackle-for-loss of Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota was his 16th of the season and moved him into a tie for ninth place in OSU single-season history with Inoke Breckterfield (1996) and Richard Seigler (2001). He has 30.5 in his career, eighth all-time at Oregon State.
• Markus Wheaton's first reception of the game, a 15-yarder in the opening quarter, put him over 1,000 yards receiving in a season for the first time in his career. His 1,084 are seventh in OSU single-season history.
• Wheaton finished the day with seven receptions for 98 yards. He now has 76 receptions this year, a new career high and the seventh-best single-season total at Oregon State.
• Brandin Cooks caught five passes for 74 yards, giving him 63 receptions and 1,113 yards, which is good for sixth in a season at OSU.
• Anthony Watkins' three tackles-for-loss are a career high. His sack was the second of his career, both coming this season.
• Micah Hatfield's fourth-quarter touchdown was the third of his career and second this season.
• Sean Mannion's fourth-quarter touchdown pass was the 29th of his career, tying him with Matt Moore (2005-06) for fifth in school history.
