THREE STRAIGHT
Oregon State won a pair of matches over the weekend, sweeping Fresno State on the road before taking down Utah State in five at home. With the wins, Oregon State has now won three straight and improved its record in Pac-12 play to 6-2. Currently sitting at third in the conference standings, Oregon State must finish in the top four to qualify for the inaugural Pac-12 Volleyball Championship In November, set for Nov. 24-25 in Fort Collins, Colo., on the campus of Colorado State.
Â
MILESTONE WIN
With Thursday's sweep at Fresno State, Lindsey Behonick became the seventh head coach in Oregon State history to win at least 50 matches at the helm of the program. In accomplishing the feat in 104 matches, she's the fastest to 50 wins at Oregon State since Jim Mozzochi reached 50 wins in his 97th match back in 1995, and her .486 winning percentage at Oregon State is the highest since Mozzochi left after the conclusion of the 1998 season.
Â
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
The Beavers, back in Corvallis for a pair of matches this week, have been dominant inside Gill Coliseum under Coach Behonick. Sitting at 28-17 in her three-and-a-half seasons, the team has protected home court to a whole new level in the last two seasons, combining to go 18-3 across both 2025 and 2026, which includes a perfect 8-0 record this year.
Â
DOMINATION
AC Froehlich dominated Saturday's match against Utah State, tallying 25 kills on a .286 clip to go with six digs and one block. The offensive output came within two of her career high – set earlier this season against Washington State – and extended her streak of 10-plus kill performances out to 10 matches, while also improving her per-set average from 3.92 up to 4.03 kills, which leads the entire Pac-12. For her efforts, Froehlich earned her second-consecutive Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week award, her third this season.
Â
PULLING THE STRINGS
Jackie Matias recorded 50-plus assists for the fourth time this season against Utah State, totaling 53 to go with 17 digs, two aces and a block. She now has six double-doubles on the year and increased her Pac-12 leading assist-per-set average to 10.26. Also contributing 40 assists and averaging over 13 per set in Fresno, Matias was recognized as the Pac-12's Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Â
EFFICIENT & EFFECTIVE
Taray Tela played a big role in both Beaver victories over the weekend, finishing with 11 kills and four blocks on .667 hitting in a sweep of Fresno State before posting nine kills and a match-high eight blocks against Utah State. A sophomore from Provo, Utah, Tela has played 64 of a possible 68 sets this season and currently ranks second in the Pac-12 with a .381 hitting percentage. If the season ended today, that percentage would rank as the second-best single season mark in program history.
Â
TAKING OVER
Alana Marrs took over in the fifth set of the Beavers' win against USU, amassing five kills and one block, while finishing the match with 11 kills on a .545 clip and three blocks. Now in her sophomore season, she's a central part of the Beaver defense, leading the team in solo blocks (21), block assists (46), total blocks (67.0) and blocks per set (1.06). Her per-set average ranks sixth in the Pac-12, while offensively her .343 hitting percentage is fourth best.
Â

- Tuesday's announcement of the conference's weekly awards marked the first time in program history that a pair of Beavers have been honored together in two or more different weeks in the same season, as both Froehlich (offensive) and Matias (setter) were previously recognized back on Sept. 1.Â
