March 02, 2026 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jaeya Butler has won her second-consecutive West Coast Conference Player of the Week award, it was announced Monday.
A junior from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Butler's tremendous junior season continued at the Judi Garman Classic over the weekend, where she hit 7-17 (.412) with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and four runs scored, slugging 1.118 while posting an on-base percentage of .444.
Her weekend started with a 3-5 line that included a home run and three RBI in Oregon State's 18-7 win over East Texas A&M, and she added another long ball against Fullerton to cap a 2-2 performance with a walk. Two games later, Butler hit another one out of the park against former Pac-12 foe California before finishing her weekend with an RBI double against the eighth-ranked UCLA Bruins.
Through four weekends of play, Butler is second in the nation with 14 home runs and ranks no. 11 for total RBI with 30; both marks lead the West Coast Conference. She also leads the conference in games played (21), at-bats (74), runs scored (25), hits (34) and slugging percentage (1.149).
Monday's announcement makes it two-consecutive weeks that she has earned All-Conference Player of the Week honors, combining with Bailey Murray to sweep the weekly awards announced Feb. 23.
Butler and the Beavs are back in action at home this Wednesday, hosting the Oregon Ducks at Kelly Field. Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling the Beaver Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS or visiting https://beav.es/SoftballTickets.
