
Beavers Face Vikings in Midweek Double-Header

THIS WEEK:
• Oregon State travels to Hillsboro for a midweek double-header against Portland State.
• This will be the first nonconference games that OSU has played since wrapping up tournament play on March 10.

LAST WEEKEND:
• Missy Nunes recorded her sixth homerun of the season with a solo-shot over the left-field fence on Friday night against Washington. Nunes finished the weekend batting .250.
• Senior Kayleen Shafer recorded her second homerun of the season that went almost directly over the center-field fence on Friday night. Shafer finished the weekend batting .286 and started behind the plate in all three games.
• Sophomore Camryn Ybarra batted .667 against Washington. Ybarra pinch hit a single down the right field line on Saturday. On Sunday, Ybarra recorded a single up the middle.
• Mariah Mazon pitched 10.0 innings in two different outings. Mazon recorded 10 strike outs on the weekend, seven on Saturday and three on Sunday.
• The Beavers turned a double play on Sunday when Maia Rader fielded the ball at shortstop, tagged the runner heading to third and made the throw to Frankie Hammoude at first base to complete it.
HISTORY:
• Oregan State holds a 94-33-1 record over Portland State.
• Under the direction of head coach Laura Berg, the Beavers are 10-1 against the Vikings.
• Oregon State's last win over Portland State was on 4/17/18 were the Beavers took a 2-1 victory.
• Portland State last beat Oregon State on 4/21/15.

• The two games at Portland State will be Oregon State's 28th and 29th on the road this season.
• Of the 30 games played to date, Oregon State has only been listed as the home team on eight occasions – this includes the first home Pac-12 series of the year against Arizona on March 22-24.

• Senior Shelby Weeks is five stolen bases away from claiming the OSU Career Record. Weeks set the single season record last year with 22. She currently has 10 in the 2019 season.

• Jessica Garcia currently sits No. 3 in stolen bases with 45. Garcia currently has 11 stolen bases this season.
• Garcia also sits tied for No. 7 in career triples.
• Meehra Nelson holds three spots in OSU's career record list: tied for No. 10. Complete game shutouts (9), tied for No. 4. Saves (8) and No. 5. Strikeouts (466).
• Lovie Lopez currently ranks No. 6 in bases on balls with 86. Lopez is also on the brink of etching her name in the record book in batting average, runs scored and doubles.
