CORVALLIS, Ore. -- After the season-opening invite in Louisiana, the Oregon State softball team continues the season with a trip to Arizona for the Littlewood Classic, cohosted by Arizona State and GCU.
Thursday, Feb. 16
Oregon State vs. Illinois State – 2:30 p.m. PT
Friday, February 17
Oregon State vs. BYU – 2:30 p.m. PT
Saturday, February 18
Oregon State vs. Portland State - 10 a.m. PT
Oregon State vs. Weber State - 12:30 p.m. PT
Sunday, February 19
Oregon State at GCU - 10:30 a.m. PT

SERIES OUTLOOK:
•The Beavers' first opponent is Illinois State - a team OSU has not faced since the AIAW WCWS in 1978
• In game two, the Beavs will match up with BYU for the seventh time in the Laura Berg era. OSU won the last two meetings between the sides.Â
• Game three will shift over to Phoenix and pit OSU against an in-state foe, Portland State, for the 137th time.Â
• Matchups with Weber State and host GCU will wrap up weekend number two.Â
BEAVER STATE BATTLE:Â
• Phoenix will mark the fourth neutral site tilt in the series with Portland State and the first in the Berg era.
• Previous settings included: Monmouth, Ore., Lodi, Calif. and Reno, Nevada
• The series between these sides dates to 1975 - the first year of Beaver softball, which was a 4-3 win for OSU in Corvallis.
• With a win, PSU would be the first opponent the Beavs would have 100 wins against.
ARIZONA APLENTY:
• Coupled with their trips to Tucson for a conference set with UofA and the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament, this trip will mark the first of three for Berg's squad.
FIRST WEEKEND LOOKBACK:
• OSU won a pair of games in the LSU Invitational last week in Baton Rouge, La.Â
•Madi Simon reached base nine times from five hits and a .385 average.Â
•Kaiea Higa burst onto the scene in her first collegiate action, tallying four hits, including three RBI and her first home run as a Beav. The Washingtonian left with a .444 average at the plate.
• Sarah Haendiges allowed just a pair of hits but struck out six across 5.0 scoreless frames in the opener against New Mexico. She ended the weekend with 14 Ks.
