March 17, 2026 | Softball
POCATELLO, Idaho – Oregon State softball is on the road this week, facing Idaho State for a three-game series on the road.
Game one: March 19, 2026 / 12 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
Game two: March 19, 2026 / 2:30 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
Game three: March 20, 2026 / 12 p.m. PT / Watch (ESPN+) / Live Stats
HITTERS:
OSU's offense has been a strong point of the team this season, ranking in the top two in the conference for runs scored (153 - second), hits (240 - second), doubles (44 - tied for first) home runs (33 - first), RBI (145 - second) and slugging percentage (.473 - second). Out-hitting Weber State in all three of its games over the weekend, the team has now tallied more hits than its opponent in 13 games this season.
BOUNCE BACK:
Throughout the 2026 season, the Beaver offense has made a habit of striking early and scoring the game's first run. However, against Weber State, the team did something it hasn't done all year long, winning a game in which it didn't score first; after conceding in the top of the first, Oregon State responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning on the way to a commanding 9-3 victory at Kelly Field.
STREAKS:
Jada Lewis has found a rhythm at the plate in recent weeks and that continued in four games against Penn State and Weber State, as the junior outfielder from Vallejo, Calif., extended her hitting streak to seven games, which included three multi-hit performances across four appearances. Lewis, who hit .383 as a sophomore in 2025, is now averaging .387 in 2026 with an on-base percentage of .458 and team-leading 11 stolen bases.
Camrynn Gordon also extended her hitting streak, making it five games in a row with a hit as the freshman from Menifee, Calif., is now hitting .407 in her debut season. She had a 2-3 performance in game two of the Beavers' series against Weber State, which came mere hours after driving in an RBI and stealing two bases in a 1-2 performance during game one of Friday's doubleheader.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE:
Jaeya Butler's power has been a pivotal part of OSU's offense this season and is now in double-digits for both doubles and home runs with 11 two-baggers and 15 long balls. She homered in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Wildcats, driving in a run in each of the team's three games against Weber State. Starting each of her 31 appearances this season, Oregon State's junior second baseman enters this weekend's series against Idaho State as the West Coast Conference leader in home runs, RBI (39), slugging percentage (.945) and runs scored (29) while sitting in second for hits (45) and doubles.
CONTACT:
After a strong weekend at the plate, Butler is now one of three Beavers sitting in the top 10 in the West Coast Conference for batting average among qualified hitters, designated as athletes who have a minimum of 2.5 plate appearances per game while playing in 75% of team games or 2.7 plate appearances per team game played. Her .413 average, which leads the team, is sixth best, while Lewis' .386 is ninth; Mya Harrison, hitting .377 across 61 total at-bats, is 10th.
ALEMAN'S BIG GAME:
Kimberlee Aleman has found her groove in the circle in recent weeks and has had strong performances in each of her last three appearances, allowing just one earned run in two of her last three. After striking out three and allowing one earned run across 6.2 innings against Sacramento State March 7, Aleman got the nod against Penn State, allowing five hits, and following it up with one of her best performances in a Beaver uniform against Weber State, allowing six hits and one earned run across 7.2 innings pitched.
For the season, Aleman has thrown 47.2 innings across eight starts and 13 total appearances.
FOURTEEN:
Head Coach Laura Berg is now in year 14 leading Beaver softball in 2026, the second longest tenured head coach in program history. Only Kirk Walker (1995-2012; 18 seasons) has spent more time at the helm of the program. Of the eight head coaches in program history, Berg ranks second behind Walker for career victories, while her conference winning percentage is the top mark.
BACK THE PAC:
After two seasons as affiliate members of the WCC, the Beavers will return to the Pac-12 following the 2026 season. New members will officially join July 1, 2026.
