Beavs to Make Kelly Field Debut for 2023

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Oregon State softball team will open play at home this weekend when they host California for a three-game set at Kelly Field.
OSU (9-14, 0-3 Pac-12) will look to keep up its streak of three consecutive home openers won and get their first league win of the season. California, coming off a series loss to No. 2 UCLA, will visit Corvallis with an 18-6 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Pac-12 play.

• After five straight weeks on the road to open the season, the Beavers will come home to Kelly Field to welcome Cal.

• OSU dropped all three games to Utah in the opening Pac-12 series of the season.

• OSU is looking to win its third consecutive home opener.

• The Beavers have slugged 18 home runs so far this season.
• Abby Doerr and Frankie Hammoude lead OSU with five apiece.
• Doerr also holds the team lead in runs batted in with 17.

• OSU will have a pair return from the 2022 WCWS squad: Tarni Stepto and Sarah Haendiges.
• Stepto leads the staff with 46 Ks.
• The junior from Australia has held batters to just a .197 batting average.
