
Beavers Set for 2025 Finale

CORVALLIS, Ore. – On a four-game winning streak, the Oregon State softball team will look to end the season in a strong way in the final series of 2025 this weekend against Santa Clara. The Beavers and Broncos will open the series on Friday afternoon with a doubleheader before closing it with a 1 p.m. matchup on Saturday.
Prior to the Saturday game, the Beavers will honor Ellie Garcia, Samantha Gutierrez and Logan Hulon in a special senior day ceremony.
By The Numbers
1: The weekend series between Oregon State and Santa Clara is the first in the Laura Berg era.
2: Two – Paige Bambarger (2B) and Jaeya Butler (SS) – have played and started in every game in that position.
7: Morgan Howey has safely hit in each of the last seven games. This is her third run of five or more games this season.

Beavs vs. Tigers
• OSU and Santa Clara have met 19 times entering the weekend but will play for the first time in the Laura Berg era.
• The Beavers hold a 17-2 advantage in the series.
• After dropping the 3/28/87 matchup, the Beavers have rattled off nine consecutive wins in the series.
• The last meeting between the sides was on April 14, 2011 - a 4-3 OSU win in Corvallis.

• OSU is still in contention for the league championship heading into the final series of 2025.

• Prior to Saturday's finale, the Beavers will honor three seniors: Ellie Garcia, Sam Gutierrez and Logan Hulon
• Garcia is a three-year member of the program and has been a dependable arm in the circle.
• Gutierrez joined for this season and made an instant impact.
• Hulon is a two-year member of the team and has been a constant leader.
Year One Done
• The Beavers are closing out their first of two years as an associate member of the WCC.
• Following the 2026 season, OSU will move back to a rebuilt Pac-12 along with Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah State.
The Last Time Out
• Oregon State opened May with a 4-0 trip in Stockton, Calif. Following a dominant series sweep of host Pacific, the Beavers closed the LMU series (from April) with a 4-2 win over the Lions.
Pitcher of the Week
•For the second time this season, Hulon was named the WCC's Pitcher of the Week.
• She struck out 15 between 12.0 innings through two games - both CGs - of the Pacific series with a 2-0 mark.
• During the 9-0 win in the finale, she didn't allow a runner to advance past second base.
• Her first honor from the WCC came back in March following a sweep of Montana.

• OSU is all over the top (or at least near it) in the stats for the WCC.
• The Beavers' pitching staff has thrown a league-leading 252 Ks, led by Hulon's 156.
• With 12 wins apiece, Garcia and Hulon lead the league in wins.

• OSU played three opponents - Grand Canyon (WAC), Florida State (ACC) and Oregon (B1G) - who went on to win regular season league titles as well as earn top seeds in their tournaments.
