Oregon State Falls in Doubleheader
March 13, 2026 | Softball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State softball dropped a pair of games to Weber State on Friday, falling 5-3 in game one of a doubleheader that concluded with a 3-1 Wildcat victory in eight innings.
Game one: Weber State 5, Oregon State 3
Jada Lewis tallied her third multi-hit game in as many appearances, finishing 2-4 with an RBI, stolen base and run scored. Camrynn Gordon was 1-2 with an RBI, run scored and two stolen bases while Jaeya Butler, Mya Harrison, Madison Weir and Tristian Thompson were all 1-3; Thompson and Weir both had extra-base hits while Butler's hit drove in a run.
Bailey Murray pitched 5.1 innings, striking out two while allowing three hits and four runs (three earned) across 22 batters faced. Haydn Milley gave up two hits and one earned run in 1.2 innings of work.
Weber State struck early, scoring in the fifth at-bat of the game, but the Beavers held a lead for multiple innings after a pair of third inning RBI singles from Lewis and Butler. The Wildcats scored two in the sixth and one in the seventh, and a Gordon sacrifice fly in the bottom of the final inning wasn't enough as the Beavers lost game one despite out-hitting the opposition, 7-5.
Game two: Weber State 3, Oregon State 1 (final/8)
Butler and Gordon both recorded multi-hit performances in game two, Butler at 2-4 with an RBI and Gordon 2-3. Kimberlee Aleman struck out two across 7.2 innings of work, allowing six hits and one earned run; Amelia Streuber faced one batter and got a crucial out in the eighth inning.
An early error cost Oregon State in game two, as the first batter of the game got on base after a bad throw and managed to score two at-bats later on a double. Aleman settled in, however, and posted three-up, three-down innings in the second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Oregon State loaded the bases in the fifth, which is when Butler stepped up to drive in a run on a single up the middle, making it 38 RBI across 30 appearances this season which leads the West Coast Conference.
Weber State plated the go-ahead runs in the eighth inning on a pair of errors and a single.
Beaver softball will finish its weekend series with a Saturday matchup at noon. Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling the Beaver Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BEAVS or visiting https://beav.es/SoftballTickets.
